Action star Rudy Fernandez, known as "Daboy" in Philippine showbiz, died in his sleep, early Saturday morning. He had periampullary cancer for almost two years and struggled for several months. He was 55 years old, the son of film director Gregorio Fernandez. He's the good husband of actress-host Lorna Tolentino to whom he has two children. He also has one son with former partner Alma Moreno in the person of actor Mark Anthony Fernandez.
