ABS-CBN Kapamilya Network has premiered the Philippine version of The Singing Bee last April 21, 2008 . It's a combinination of karaoke singing and a spelling bee-style competition, where contestants try to remember the lyrics of different songs.
Last July 8, 2008, acoustic singer and former child star Aiza Seguerra became the newest celebrity champion of The Singing Bee and won the jackpot prize of one million pesos.
