Biliran's pride Gretchen Espina was proclaimed as the first "Pinoy Idol" as she got the highest text votes over other contestants. She went home with P 1 million cash, recording contract with Sony BMG Records, GMA Management contract, a brand new car Mitsubishi EX 2008, and a house-and-lot from Avida Towers.
