Their marriage on March 27, 1989 at Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan was declared null and void by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court. According to published reports, actress Lotlot de Leon was only 16 years old then and actor Ramon Christopher was only 18 years old when the two got married.

They now have a shared custody of their four kids.
