Comedian-host Pokwang is joining the new season of Banana Split replacing Valerie Concepcion, one of the original mainstay. According to reports, the manager of Valerie Concepcion pulled Valerie out of the funny gag show because of a dispute about her talent fee.
Pokwang denied rumors that there's a rift between her and Valerie, who happens to be her co-host in the noon time show Wowowee. In an interview with the show SNN, Pokwang commented; “Parang wala naman dapat ika-gap kasi trabaho lang po, walang personalan. Hindi ko naman po sinulot, ibinigay sa akin ng kusa.”
Stand up comedian Pooh and the Parekoy gang of John Prats, Jayson Gainza, and Zanjoe Marudo will also be joining the new season of Banana Split.
