I personally missed the Philippines Master Rapper, Francis Magalona (R.I.P). Last March 6, 2009, Francis Magalona, who is fondly called The Man from Manila, died of complications of acute myelogenous leukemia. I admired also a fan. I admired his being so patriotic. I love Francis Magalona's songs, especially "Mga Kababayan Ko". I still visit his blog at http://www.magalona.com and read the many comments left by his huge followers. Francis Magalona has a clothing company where he designed and expressed his nationalism. The name of the company is Francis Magalona Clothing Co. (FMCC) under the brand “3 Stars and a Sun”. Yesterday, March 11, 2009, the Master Rapper Francis Durango Magalona, the Philippine King of Rap is finally laid to rest at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City. There were a lot of fans on the street, who ignored the scorching heat of the sun and waited to see the funeral hearse that carries their idol's metal urn where Francis Magalona's ashes was enclosed and see Francis Magalona for the last time. The Philippine Army has given military honors to Francis Magalona for his patriotism and for being a member of the Philippine Army Reserved Officers Training Corps. His widow, Pia Arroyo-Magalona received the folded Philippine Flag from the members of Philippine army during his burial.

After months and months of battle with Leukemia, TV-host and Philippines Master Rapper Francis Magalona passed away March 6, 2009. May his soul rest in peace. Our condolences to the Magalona family and friends.
