Yesterday, March 11, 2009, the Master Rapper Francis Durango Magalona, the Philippine King of Rap is finally laid to rest at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City. There were a lot of fans on the street, who ignored the scorching heat of the sun and waited to see the funeral hearse that carries their idol's metal urn where Francis Magalona's ashes was enclosed and see Francis Magalona for the last time. The Philippine Army has given military honors to Francis Magalona for his patriotism and for being a member of the Philippine Army Reserved Officers Training Corps. His widow, Pia Arroyo-Magalona received the folded Philippine Flag from the members of Philippine army during his burial.
