The engagement happened last May 7.

"I'm glad I've finally found a person who can be your partner in life. One of the best things that I like most about him is that he's such a thoughtful guy. Na parang...in any plan that he has, even for himself, he will always include you. And I found that very impressive kasi these days, we all can be self-centered," says Pia Guanio about her fiancé, Steve Mago.

How was the engagement?

"It was quite a surprise. I wasn't expecting it at all. Primarily because... I mean, I'll say it straight... Di ba, we've been dating for less than a year only? So, it really came as a surprise to me that he made such a big move so soon."

"So, one morning, he just woke me up. And when I opened my eyes, I saw a box with a ring in it."

Pia said she was speechless.

"Kasi, nakakabigla talaga! Parang overwhelming and you don't know what to say when it finally does happen, you know. And then outside, he has prepared a breakfast with champagne."

TV-host and and Eat Bulaga mainstay Pia Guanio has finally confirmed reports that she is engaged to be married to her non-showbiz boyfriend, businessman Steve Mago. The actual engagement happened last May 7. According to Pia, there is still no exact date for the wedding.

Actress Lindsay Lohan appeared in a Los Angeles court February 9, 2011 after she was accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from upmarket California boutique Kamofie & Company. The actress is currently on probation for driving under the influence in 2007. She pleaded not guilty to felony grand theft. Judge Keith Schwartz allowed the Machete star, Lindsay Lohan to post $20,000 bail for the offense, and also an additional sum of $20, 000 for breaching the terms of her probation.

Star Magic, the talent arm of ABS-CBN network who takes care of Shaina Magdayao and John Lloyd Cruz careers has confirmed that there was a "private meeting" between Ruffa Gutierrez and Shaina Magdayao.

Piolo and KC has long been rumored as boyfriend-girlfriend but both never confirmed nor denied the said rumor. Finally, Piolo Pascual came out in the open and said, KC Concepcion became his girlfriend since October 21, 2010.



Piolo Pascual admitted that he courted KC Concepcion for two years before he finally got her to say "yes". There are a number of guys who admitted that they have crush on KC Concepcion. Just recently, Azkals' Phil Younghusband, Apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas and Rhap Fernandez, expressed their admiration to KC Concepcion.

According to Piolo, another reason why he's officially admitting his romance with KC Concepcion is; "Para tumigil na 'yung nagpaparinig kay Kristina. Joke! (he laughed and continued in a serious tone) Marami kasi nagsasabing may gusto kay Kristina, gusto siyang i-date. So I would like to let everyone know that she's taken."

Beauty Queen Venus Raj is now an official "Kapamilya" after she signed a contract with ABS-CBN last January 14, 2010.  Venus Raj said it was her mother who really wanted her to transfer to the Kapamilya network. "Ngayon po masaya na siya. Kasi palagi na po nila akong mapapanood sa ABS-CBN."

When Venus Raj was asked who among the Kapamilya hunks she wants to work with, the beauty queen replied;

"Actually, marami nga po akong pinagpipilian. Hindi ko lang po alam kung gusto nila akong maka-partner. Pero matagal ko na pong iniidolo ang mga tao na ito—sina Piolo Pascual, sina Coco Martin na crush na crush na crush ko!" and she laughed.

She then added;

"Pero kung sino pa ang gusto ng direktor na ipareha sa akin, okey lang po. Hindi ko naman po kailangang mamili dahil ayaw ako ng tao. Alam ko naman na kahit sino ang i-partner sa akin, is, alam n'yo yun... Siguro nakikita nila na bagay naman sa akin or kaya kong makatrabaho."

Late last year, headlines about sexy actress Cristine Reyes being upset at singer-actress Sarah Geronimo was all over the news. The said controversy started when Cristine Reyes tweeted that she's "pissed" at someone whom she referred to as "IDOL" and "DRAMA PRINCESS," who is believed to be Sarah Geronimo. Months later, the Pop Princess, Sarah Geronimo would still not comment on the said controversy about it.

In an interview held last January 14, Sarah Geronimo commented; "Pero sabi ko nga sa sarili ko, malinis naman yung konsensiya ko. Wala naman akong ginawang masama," . "Sabi ng tao, dedmahin mo na lang. Pero nung may mga nagsasalita na para sa akin, lalong-lalo ni si Ms. Sharon [Cuneta], si Ate Juday [Judy Ann Santos], ganyan, sila John Prats, sabi ko, parang kelangan naman na din yatang ipagtanggol ko na din ang sarili ko, lalong-lalo na ang mga magulang ko at pamilya ko."

Sarah Geronimo said she's very grateful to Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Judy Ann Santos.

"Wow! Sabi ko nga po, nakakagulat, overwhelming yung pinapakitang concern. Kumbaga, parang ang tagal na naming magkaibigan ni Ms. Sharon. "Sabi ko nga, kahit hindi pa ako ganun kakilala ni Ms. Sharon, pero nagugulat po ako sa ginagawa niyang pagsuporta po. Napakasuwerte ko po at dapat ko pong pasalamatan talaga."

Sarah is also very grateful and gave thanks all her avid fans, whom she calls "Popsters".

"Napatunayan ko talaga yung pagmamahal nila, lalung-lalo na yung mga Popsters. Kasi hindi nila ako iniiwanan kahit na anong pagsubok ang pinagdadaanan ko."

When she was asked if she has ill feeling for Cristine Reyes, Sarah Geronimo replied in a serious tone; "Ako naman po, wala naman talaga akong galit sa kanya."

Actress Kristine Hermosa is now Mrs. Vittorio Mari Sotto. That's Oyo Boy Sotto's real name. The couple finally tied the knot on Wednesday, January 12, at Club Balai Isabel in Talisay, Batangas.



For those who are not so familiar of their love story, Oyo Boy Sotto and Kristine Hermosa first project together was the movie, Enteng Kabisote in 2004, where the beautiful Kristine Hermosa played the role of Faye, wife of Enteng Kabisote, who was played by Oyo Boy Sotto's dad, Vic Sotto. The couple started dating in 2006 but they managed to keep it under wraps. It was on September 9, 2009, the 26th birthday of Kristine Hermosa that Oyo Boy Sotto proposed to her. Oyo Boy Sotto went to Canada—where Kristine's parents are based—to ask for their daughter's hand in marriage in May 2009. Their list of principal sponsors included ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio, Star Magic big boss Johnny Manahan, and Eat Bulaga! lady executive Malou Choa-Fagar.

Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto finally got married in Club Balai Isabel located at Talisay, Batangas, Philippines last January 12, 2011 which happens to be Oyo Boy Sotto's 27th Birthday also. It was a very private and intimate wedding attended by close friends and family.

Manny Pacquiao one-sided decision won over Antonio Margarito last Saturday night at Cowboys Stadium gained him his 8th world title, the WBC junior middleweight title. Antonio Margarito did not attend the post-fight news conference because he went directly to the hospital.

Carla Abellana openly admitted her official love relationship with her loveteam Geoff Eigenmann. Her dad, Rey "PJ" Abellana doesn't seem to approve. Carla Abellana says her dad is not against Geoff in particular but against her having a boyfriend in general. Pinay Rosalinda, Carla Abellana is excited to be part of the long time Philippines horror triology movie of Regal Films, Shake Rattle and Rolle (XII) where she plays the character of Diane, a teacher in the episode "Funeral".

Last August 7, 2010, Philippine's Mega Star Sharon Cuneta had a two-hour Mega Drama Concert at the Araneta Coliseum. Sharon Cuneta lovingly performed all her song sets which included some classic OPM hits "Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko," "Habang May Buhay," "Kahit Konting Pagtingin," "Minsan Minahal ay Ako," "Bituing Walang Ningning," and "Ang Ating Musika. During the said concert, the Megastar told actor Piolo Pascual  that she approves of him for her daughter, KC Concepcion.
